To connect a pressure washer to your kitchen tap takes some effort and creativity. Kitchen taps don’t come with a thread for connecting these devices, so you’ll need an adapter that can fit on the threaded end of both the device and the faucet as well as seal tightly between them.

Hose Pipe

Make sure when you are connecting the hose pipe to the kitchen tap, it has a length of 50 feet or more. When you connect it to the outdoor tap, the hose pipe will be small, but if you connect to the indoor tap, the hose pipe should be longer depending on the distance from tap to cleaning machine.

So if you don’t have a hosepipe and looking to buy a new one, measure the distance from the kitchen to the actual location where the machine will be used for cleaning.

Universal Connector

Purchase the universal connector for the tap. This connector will be useful in connecting any kitchen tap that is available in different models.

Now after connecting the hose pipe to the machine now connect the kitchen tap to a universal connector. Now turn the tap a little bit to slowly flow and check whether the water is flowing without any leakage. If there is any leakage, reconnect the connector from the water tap properly and make sure the water flows correctly.

When everything is perfect, you have to recheck the water flow, but make sure this time, open the tap in full and check the hose connector didn’t fall off. If it falls, you have to tighten it even more so that it is not unattached from the water tap and makes the kitchen wet.

Again test the water flow, but this time you will need the help of someone who can turn on the water tap from inside while you are standing outside holding the pressure washer gun.

If the water flow comes out perfectly from the cleaning machine at a strong pace, the connection has been set up correctly. And, if the water flow is not right, then it might be due to some leakage between the connection.

The main reason for getting low pressure is your kitchen tap has a low water flow rate. If you have a longer hosepipe, the pressure will not be higher than the small hosepipe length.

If you don’t have a kitchen tap to connect, you can go with a portable pressure washer that does not need any connectivity with any connector.
